Jazbaa Review – A watchable thriller

Jazbaa the much awaited comeback movie of Aishwarya Rai, which I watched this Saturday. Jazbaa is the remake of South Korean hit Seven Days. To be frank Jazba is a decent effort and Aishwarya Rai have put in a good effort and is worth a watch.
Coming to the plot of Jazbaa, a leading lady lawyer Anuradha (Aishwarya Rai), is forced to defend a rapist and a murderer as ransom for her kidnapped daughter. Anuradha takes up the case for the sake of her daughter, and her friend Yohan (Irrfan Khan), who is a suspended cop, helps her in this. How the duo succeeds in bringing the culprit to justice and gets her daughter released, forms the rest of the movie. Since its a suspense thriller, I dont want to become a spoiler.
Performance wise, Aishwarya Rai is very sincere in her role of a desperate mother and her come back movie selection is not wrong. She has put in a good performance. Irrfan Khan is simply superb and he plays his role with ease. Actually he steals the show. Shabana Azmi and Atul Kulkarni hvae put in a decent performace. Others were just ok
A drawback of Jazbaa is that sometimes we feel that 2 stories with no connection is been shown simultaneously, which at times we find it hard to link.
To conclude, Jazbaa is the story of the desire of women to fight for her family. Jazbaa is a fast paced thriller with lots of emotions, thrill and action. Its definitely worth a watch.
